Natasha is a multifaceted professional whose career spans international research, academic instruction, and institutional leadership. As a dual Belgian/American citizen, she brings a global perspective to Barrett Law, where her diverse background enables her to engage effectively with both prospective and institutional clients.
Academic & Research Excellence
A credentialed scholar, Natasha earned four degrees through various undergraduate and graduate scholarships. Her academic highlights include:
• International Research: Selected as one of only eight PhD scholars to represent the United States as a Belgian American Education Fellowship recipient.
• Specialized Studies: Conducted research in Belgium focused on the writings of 19th-century Belgian nuns.
• University Instruction: Taught French literature at Rutgers University, the University of Utah, Westminster College, and Benedictine College.
• Curriculum Development: Created specialized upper-division curriculum in Belgian literature, fostering an appreciation for Francophone culture among her students.
Institutional Leadership & Philanthropy
Natasha has a proven track record of navigating complex administrative and philanthropic environments:
• Educational Leadership: Served as the Interim President of Holy Family Classical School (HFCS) at the request of the Vicar General of the Tulsa Diocese.
• Strategic Accreditation: Successfully led HFCS through the Oklahoma Conference of Catholic Schools Accrediting Association (OCCSAA) process, which involved budget management, facility security planning, and administrative reorganization.
• Global Grant Writing: Secured Belgian government funding for the education of homeless Congolese children through her work with the Communauté du Chemin Neuf.
Early Career & Personal Interests
Before her academic and legal-adjacent career, Natasha was a professional dancer, performing with the Tulsa Ballet Theatre (now Tulsa Ballet) and Utah Opera. Natasha studied Dance at the University of Utah, the Briansky Ballet in New York, and the École Supérieure de Danse de Cannes Rosella Hightower in France.
Outside of her professional life, she manages a large family of six children and frequently travels to Belgium for "mini sabbaticals" to reconnect with her cultural roots.
